Congratulations to this year’s winner, Joe Gleeson! Joe’s submission was titled STR1DE: A New Approach To FY1 Core Teaching.

When asked how he feels about having won the award Joe said; “I feel so thrilled to receive the 2023 ASME New Leaders Award! I’m passionate about medical education and making positive change for medical students and junior doctors, so it is so special to be recognised in this way by ASME. I am truly grateful to everybody at Mid Yorkshire who made this possible. In particular I want to thank the Trust’s senior leaders for green lighting STR1DE, and all my fantastic colleagues in the education team who worked so hard to make STR1DE so successful.”

The ASME Awards team wishes Joe every success and looks forward to seeing him at the ASM 2024 in Warwick!
