OSCE Masterclass - 1-2 October 2009

Held on the 1st and 2nd of October 2009 at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland, this high quality masterclass is an exciting addition to our already successful research and leadership development programmes.

 

Who Should Attend?

Educators working in undergraduate or postgraduate medical education and those within the wider healthcare education community.

Day One - 1 October

On Day 1 of this event the principles of designing and using Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs) will be addressed. Participants will have the opportunity to blueprint an OSCE, and design and pilot OSCE stations.

Day Two - 2 October

On Day 2 issues of standard setting and compensation in OSCEs will be discussed. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in workshops designed to train examiners for OSCEs as well as explore the issues around the use of simulated patients.
