At the AMEE Annual Conferene in Lyon, August 2012, Professor Trudie E Roberts, Chair of ASME, was voted President Elect of AMEE (Association for Medical Education in Europe).
This means that for the next twelve months Professor Roberts will be working with Madelena Patricio, the current AMEE President, to get a better understanding of the role which she will take over at the AMEE meeting in 2013. Professor Robert's term of office as Chair of ASME comes to an end in July 2013. Professor Roberts is confident that she will be able to continue to carry out her ASME duties as planned until the next ASM and anticipate that her new role will mean a closer, mutually beneficial relationship for both organisations.
