Individual Membership

General Information

ASME is an independent, non-statutory organisation, run by doctors and healthcare educationalists for all individuals and organisations who participate in, and are responsible for, the delivery of medical education, training and continuing professional development. ASME can influence policy in medical education and training through established links with decision-making bodies such as the General Medical Council, National Association of Clinical Tutors, COPMeD and the Department of Health.

Benefits of Membership:

• Exchange of information. Members are medical doctors, health professionals and others involved in medical education at all levels (undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing).

• Regular mailings about ASME conferences and activities

• Regular news of ASME, and of other bodies concerned with medical education via electronic communication.

• Receipt of the monthly journal Medical Education and the quarterly journal The Clinical Teacher*.  (*dependant on membership category)

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and ask for a postal application form.  It normally takes around 10 working days to process your membership once we have received your application and payment. 

Membership is payable by Direct Debit, Cheque or Credit Card.  Cheques, in £(Pounds Sterling) only, should be crossed and payable to "ASME".
