JASME is the Junior Association for the Study of Medical Education. It grew out of and is still a subgroup of ASME (the Association for the Study of Medical Education).

JASME is a Special Interest Group (SIG) run by juniors (medical students and doctors in training grades) primarily for juniors interested in medical education. It consists of a committee of passionate people from a variety of geographical areas and backgrounds. The new committee is dedicated to application of our vision and mission statements via our interaction with outside organisations, students and junior doctors.

Membership to ASME is open to all medical students and junior doctors at a reduced rate. Find out more about joining now!

JASME at the ASME Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) 2012

ASME are again offering 2-for-1 student places at the ASME Annual Scientific Meeting being held this year in Brighton from 18-20th July 2012. Why not ask your medical school about funding for a student place?

The JASME committee will be attending the conference and organising workshops and social events for students and foundation doctors, including:

  • 'So how can I get involved with medical education as a student?'
  • Setting up a research project in medical education
  • Teaching toolkit for medical students
