There are just under 30 medical schools in the UK. Each of them has their own particular way of assessing whether students should graduate and become licensed to practise with provisional registration.
These, and other key questions, will be addressed at this conference. Representatives from schools with widely differing final year assessments will present the rationale behind their choice of assessment. As well as these plenary sessions, there will be an opportunity to view the perspectives from all UK medical schools through a poster session and a chance to discuss best practice through small group discussion.
The day would interest those involved with undergraduate medical education, Undergraduate and Postgraduate Deans, F1 and F2 doctors and those who train them, the GMC, PMETB and any clinicians or stakeholders who have a view about the outcomes of medical undergraduate education.
